Imsearch.php?  en

Even though I don't have a search field, the exported files include imsearch.php.
My site doesn't run PHP, so I want to remove it, but I can't delete it no matter what I try.
What should I do?

Hello Shu,
you can simply ignore the file, or are you encountering any errors due to its presence?
This should not be the case, usually.

Thanks for your reply. I understand that the file can be ignored, but I still find the behavior unusual.

Is this an intentional design choice, or is it a side‑effect of some internal setting?

From a deployment and SEO perspective, having unnecessary files generated and uploaded is not ideal, so I’d like to understand the rationale behind this behavior.

When exporting the website to the Internet, WebSite X5 loads so many files onto the web space that 1 file no longer matters.

If the PHP file is not used, Google will not be aware of its existence.

Hello Shu,
when it comes to some minor files, we chose to have them generated regardless of whether the function is used to standardize the file generation as much as possible, but this would not affect SEO or anything else regarding the functions of the site.
