I can't run the software because of a virus  en

Hi Everyone!! I have been using Website X5 Evolution 9 for few months and designed my website with it (www.selten-diagnosis.com) I obtained it online. Yesterday, I had a virus in the computer that took me hours to eliminate. After that, I tried to open this program and it doesn´t work! It requests the activation code, email and password. I have tried all of that but still it is not running. Can anyone help with this, please? Thanks a lot!! Antonio

Hello antonio!
Please look into your program list and make sure that you cancel the program from it then, download the latest version from the ''download'' section in the top right corner of this page and start it. You will have to add your licence key then register again with the same email you used the first time in order to install correclty. Please let me know if the issue is solved after.

Dear Samantha,

Thanks a lot for your help with this issue!! I have unloaded the program from the program list and after procceeded to install it again. i did it and went through the activation. Filled it in with the initial activation code got when I purchased the software and used the email I used as well. it says that everything its correct so I can press the button and start. When I do it, it goes back again to the activation screen and email, and  it keeps going doing the  same again and again. Any alternative option, please???? Regards, Antonio

Dear Samantha, Thanks a lot again for your help. I have uninstalled the 4 framework it was installed from the program list. After, I have installed the 3.5 framework and Activate this feature to work under Windows. I have tried to activate the Website software after but it happened the same as before. After completing the proccess, it goes to the beginning. The thing is, that 3.5 does not appear in the program list though i am sure it is installed. 

Please, ket me know if there is any other alternative or tell me further details that can help.

Thank you for being so kind and patient!
Please try the following  that will delete your frameworks completely from your computer:

  1. After you have removed every version of .NET you need to use the .NET FX Cleanup:http://cid-27e6a35d1a492af7.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Blog_Tools/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.ziptool
  2. Then please install the .NET 3.5 framework from the following link:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/it-it/details.aspx?FamilyID=d0e5dea7-ac26-4ad7-b68c-fe5076bba986&DisplayLang=it

After, please read carefully this post and make sure you install the correct framework http://answers.websitex5.com/post/23939 then, please check that your system requirements are compatible http://answers.websitex5.com/post/23835
What version of IE do you have on your computer?

Thanks to you for your support!

I have followed the first link you indicated but it did not work:( Nevertheless, I used a cleanup tool for any .NET version.

I have installed the .NET 3.5 framework  following your link. and followed instructions but I have obtained the same result, it goes back to activation screen after all the proccess. 

I am using Google Chrome instead of IE. Is that an inconvenient??? Should I use IE instead?

Version IE : 9

Concerning the system requirements, I am using the same laptop I used to run the software before and to create the website and I comply with all minimum requirements required.

Please, let me know if something else can be done. I need the software to keep updating the website.

Hello Antonio,

please look into the ''download'' section in the top right corner of this page and download the latest version of the program then start the installation process from there.
This should avoid issues.

I have downloaded the latest version of the software again and it keeps doing the same:( 

I have no idea what else I can do:(((( and I really need to keep updating the website!!

I'm sorry for making you wait! Yes, if you can try it on another computer it would be grate, thank you! Their obviously is something on your computer that isn't compatible with the program. Please try then let me know!

Hi  Samantha, I Have tried in my personal laptop and it works!! But, I got all the files attached to my work laptop so I would like to have it installed in this one. It was working before, why is not working now? 

I have uninstalled it, re-installed it, remve the .NET, installed the 3.5, activate the version 3.5.1. in windows, installed version 4, uninstalled (it is working in my personal laptop with windows 7 and. NET version 4, same as the one I got at work, (I forgot, I also used the clean up tool for . NET but nothing...:(((((((( same result!!! 

is there anything else I can try to do to make it run in my work laptop?????

i would be very grateful if you could tell me (I need to improve the websites asap!!!)

Dear Samantha, 

I was about to run the program in my personal laptop. I took all files from the laptop at work and when I have run website, I only got the oldest version of the website!! the latest has also dissapeared!!

I have tried a program to recover it (recuva ) and it says it is not possible. 

Please, some help with this issue as well.
