I want to know how the registration and members area works? If someone registers on our site, will his name automatically be added to the members database. Can some one edit his information after signing in. How can we use a form on the registration page, where a member chooses a username and password that is added to member database. Can you please explain this process?

. . . they only can send you their data - you have to enter data to the registration area . . .

so there is no way we can do this process automatic. every time some one signs, we have to add ther details manually. .. well, if i am getting 100-150 users a day for an initial advertising campaign, how i am going to deal with it? there should be some way or script to do that automatically on the server.
. . . so you need another program - similar to this - for *automatic* registration . . .

Please can you tell me - what is the Registration Page actually for?
I mean, if someone tries to access a restricted page, then the imlogin.php form (from Special Pages - Login Page) pops up with the title Private Area and the request to enter credentials.
I like to know under what circumstances would someone manually create a separate login page. Could you tell me, please? Perhaps you could describe some scenarios?
Forgive my ignorance, I know little of X5.
. . . reading manual - page 152++ - you will get an idea what is possible with x5 (hiding pages and give access manually) . . .
If you do want a *registration-page* look here (there are other systems as well)
