Problems by updating my homepage. - I use website X5 evolution 8 - I have just tried to update my homepage using a copy from the file I originally used for uploading because I changed the folder for the website to a more conveniet place/name on my harddisk. It seemed to function alright (checked out by using test button in programme) but suddenly the programme wouldnt respond uploadaing the test button after I have been inserting/linking to a text (a local pdf-file) -> failure message. I was asked to shut down Acrobat reader if open - was in my knowledge not open. Then I closed my computer and restarted Website x5 using the file I had worked out for updating. Now the testbutton worked again, but not with the intended result. Pictures were the old ones or not shown (marked with red cross in upper left in frame as not uploadable) but text was changed intended way. By chekcking out the menues in editing mode no old pictures and links and OLE ojects appeared but were as they were intended to be. How can I make my new update work???? (I havent got so far, that I have tried to upload it - meaningless when half the site misses) With kindly regards Leif Jordt

Hi Leif,

I think that moving the project's file from a folder to another had corrupted the project's links.

If possible, move the folder to its original path, then export your project from step 5 selecting "Export the project on local HD". It will save an IWZIP file containing all the require files.

Then import the project again, providing to the software the path of the new folder where the project's file will be stored.

Thank you!

Oops, I didn't see that. Sorry.

Anyway the solution is quite similar. Batch the project in a folder (from step 5 -> batch project) and then open it from there, removing the old folder. Wink
