Converting V7 .iwp files to V10

I created a website a couple of years ago for a friend using (I think) V7. The computer on which I had installed V7 is now long dead. I have a new version of V10 on my new computer but cannot figure out how to import the old .iwp file.
As best I can tell from reading the forum posts and documentation, I need to find someone w/ intermediate versions and ask them to successively import and export the file until it becomes compatible w/ V10. If that's the case: any volunteers to help?
Or if there is some other way, please enlighten me.

Unfortunately versions 7 and 10 are so far apart that there is no automatic guarantee that the project can successfully be converted/upgraded at all. You may need to start from scratch I'm afraid.
Even if you managed to get your v7 file ready for import into v10, then you might find that once imported there was still a significant amount of work required before the website could be published, due to the major changes between these versions.
However, if you set this post to 'Private' then you can request an opinion directly from Incomedia. They may also be able to help you with the file format aspect of the issue.
