I use Websitex5 Evolution9 if thats any help.

Hello Andrew,
Please try to follow the procedure described on following link to see if you can recover the backup file of the project:

Hello Claudio,
I did as the post shows as far as selecting the project folder, however then it tells me to delete all files except ''backup.iwprj'' however there is no folder as far as I can see with that name in it?
I have attached a screenshot below it shows the folder and 'Preview' and 'Upload' but nothing else. There is also no folder with the name 'backup.iwprj' inside either of those.
Hello Andrew,
Backup.iwprj is a file, not a folder... if you expand the project folder (DJ Andy M) then you should find it inside there.
Kind regards,
Paul

Hi,
I expanded the project folder for the site.
There was 2 more folders inside that which could be expanded.
The folders are; ''Preview'' and ''Upload''.
Inside the 'Preview' folder the files are as follows:
-Admin
-Blog
-Captcha
-Gallery
-Images
-Mail
-Menu
-Pcss
-res
-style
-videos
and inside the 'Upload' folder is:
-Blog
-Gallery
-pcss
-res
Please let me know which of these I am to delete.
Thanks.
Kind Regards,
Andrew.
Hello Andrew,
The process is as described in the link Claudio gave you earlier:
Start Explorer and open the path you previously found in the Preferences. In the "WebSite X5 v9 - Evolution" folder you will find as many folders as many projects you have actually in WebSite X5. Open the folder of the project you want to restore and delete all files except "backup.iwprj", once done rename it from "backup.iwprj" to "project.iwprj"
So that includes deleting both 'Preview' and 'Upload' folders along with their entire contents.
But have you found the 'backup.iwprj' file yet? Remember that 'backup.iwprj' is a file, not a folder. Be sure to set your Explorer view to show files as well as folders, lest you delete 'backup.iwprj' by mistake.
In fact, be very wary of deleting anything until you have found 'backup.iwprj', made a copy of it, and stored it in a safe place somewhere.
Then you can proceed with the remainder of the instructions in the article Claudio linked to.
Best regards,
Paul

I had another look and I still havnt managed to find the 'backup.iwprj' file.
I cant find it in the folder of the project I created.
Regards,
Andrew.
What files are present inside the folder named 'DJ Andy M' ?
If you could list all files present at that location (as opposed to folders) then that would be helpful.
You may also find it fruitful to do a search for 'backup.iwprj' using the built-in search function provided with your operating system.
Many thanks...
Paul
