I recently purchased the Website X5 Evolution 10 software. Installed it on the laptop, but every time I choose template selection the software asks me to save the project because it will shut down. Which it does.
A window pops up informing me that the software has encountered a problem and it had to shut down.
Any idea what conflict might trigger the shut down??
My OS is windows Vista Home Basic Service Pack 2; My laptop is a Asus Notebook F5 Series 2GB Ram 32Bit OS.
I do have another web software on the laptop. Web Easy Pro 9.

Hello Darius,
The error you get is a windows error and usually it occurs when the .NET Frameworks are not working correctly or are corrupt.
To repair the .NET Frameworks 3.5 and 4 you need as first to use following cleanup tool to remove .NET 4:

Once done go to Control Panel then choose Programs and Features and then click on Turn Windows features on or off. Clear the check box for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and then click on OK. After Windows disables the feature you will need to go back to re-enable Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1
This procedure can take some time to deactivate and activate .NET 3.5.1 and once done reinstall .NET 4 after downloading it from following link:

Thanks for the information provided. I tried to follow your steps and it looked quite ok untill I tried the last stage to install the .NET 4 Framework standalone installer. This gave me an installation error.
I tried to install the .Net Framework a few times but no luck same error was showing. Thanks for the information anyways.
But if you have any more ideas would be very much appreciated.

Can you please tell me what error you got when you installed .NET 4?

It is necessary to install .NET 4 for the program to work correctly.

Thanks for trying to help. Finally I had to reinstall the windows on the laptop and now its working ok so far. I had some corrupted windows files. Thats why the windows updates were not working either for nearly a year.
