Inaugurated in 2006, the windsurfing school in the season it is fixed, running on the São João beach, in Costa de Caparica, about 10 km from Lisbon from May to September. During these months has assembled a structure in the sand, about 30 feet from the water, in the concession area of the Pé Nú. Outside the bathing season windsurfing school is moving due to sea conditions too rough and can move to where conditions are better, which is usually the Ponta dos Corvos (beside the Base Naval de Lisboa, Alfeite), the Cova do Vapor or Lagoa de Albufeira, being the preferred site of the Ponta dos Corvos is also just 10 km from Lisbon, on the southern shore, using for this purpose a van of 6.5 meters, equipped with 12 boards, 30 windsurfing Sails and craft support. The school is licensed by Turismo de Portugal IP with the License Operator Tourist-Maritime with No. 67/2009 and is authorized to practice: Practice and teaching windsurfing * * Activity of Nature Tourism recognized and able to be held at the National Network of Protected Areas.
