Hello James,
Are you testing the captcha feature in the preview? The captcha feature will only function as designed once the project is published to the web.
If your site is online and you still have an issue, then can you post a link so we can take a look please?
You could also try refreshing the page and clearing your browser cache by pressing F5 on your keyboard, or holding down the 'CTRL' key whilst reloading the page.
