Update from vers. 7 to vers 10 or 11

I have vers. 7 and i want to update it to vers 10 or 11 is thhat posiblle?
Yoour wriet that your proogram is downwards compatible, but I can nor make i work?
Would it be bette with version 11?

Michael, version 7 and 8 have different files with export, and are also no longer supported by Incomedia. ( so difficult to import)
To be honest transerring for every version has some detailed differences, so transversion from 7 to 11 I would not recommend, you wuld need to check everything. And I expect to correct a lot. In the same time you should be able to make a new project in V11, build a lot of items with the newer features of v11 and work from there.
Unless it's huge offcource, still -I think- it's better to start from scratch.
I have seen other topics people where glad they did a made a lot of improvement. For your visitors it's also nice to see there are changes, they know then that there is attention to the site.
I change my sites also from time to time just to keep them fresh and up to date.

Andre, thank you for your comment. It is what i thought. I have just bought ver 10.
I have to use a lot of time (which i do nat have) to make a new site, then. It takes to much time. It is really to bad that incomedea do not make all their version downwards compatible...
SInce this is whats possible, I will not spend money on an upgrade to ver 11. :-(
Michael from version 9 on they are compatible also to v11.
I'm not sure if Incomedia can help you out with converting. They did but I read on some posts that this is not the case anymore. (you could offcource ask set post to privat and see what they can do)
There are some users that help converting from V8 (I can as well) to higher versions.
Yes it's not nice, but the changes they have made to make improvements mainly on the template but also on other steps where not possible in the structure of the older version (7 and 8).
It's still a very good product but website building has take a lot of changes over the years so it's hard to keep up and change and stick to a certain format. I think they realy had no chooice on some level.
Goodluck anyway, while V7 still works you can still make chances and take time to rewrite to V10, there are a lot of nice improvements as benefit. :)
