To remove the footer menu go to Step 1 General Settings > Template Style > Text Style > Page Item > Footer Menu

Then deselect the checkbox marked 'Visible' in the 'Style' section, located just underneath the 'Page Item' drop-down menu.

Fantastic, I did not know they were all there. Since your were kind enough to help. I know that the wbsitex5.com was done all in x5. It says so at the footer. Looking at the footer there are a lot of options for links and social media and email links. I am a new to all this, just wondering are all those done with x5 build in features?

Yes, Claudio from Incomedia has confirmed that in the past.  If I remember correctly it uses code in HTML Objects with links, etc.  -  similar to the procedure he describes in this thread:
