Rename a page from HTML to PHP

I have a quesiton about renaming a page in my project. I have 10 pages that are .HTML pages and they are working fine, but I have 1 page that is running a block of PHP code. The programmer that I received this from said that I need the page to have the PageName.PHP extension for it to work. Is there a way that I can rename the page in build process (Step 3 or 4) and and still be able to test it there or do I have to rename it after it has been exported to a disk folder and hope for the best when I upload it?

In the left menu : 3 Map
You "mark" the page You want to change.
You click on "Properties" and You here have 3 tabs : "general", "Graphic" and "expert"
You click on "Expert" and here You in "File format" choose PHP
That's it.
