Greetings,
I do have a website, build from a template (from 14th edition and I also use in 15th ).
Because of the GDPR, I came across a website to identify, If there were any cookies in the website and it did found one named "NID" (from google.com, http type, 6months expiry).
As I see, it is not compliant with GDPR. Is there any way to find and remove it?
Thanks in advance.

Also to add.
If there is a way I can have a disclaimer of some sort, please tell me what can I write about it.
Hi Virginia,
The GDPR and the Cookie law is a very different matter.
Cookies are not receiving any new specific rule to follow, if not the one that was already there about the necessity of requesting permission to use those to the user, which can already be accomplished by the Cookie Banner available inside the software.
Should you need any further information about the GDPR, we have prepare a short topic about this you can consult here:
https://www.websitex5.com/en/gdpr-what-to-do.html
Should you have question on how to write down the whole policy text you need instead, unfortunately we cannot provide the support you need for this.
We suggest you consult a lawyer to help you out with that part.
Hope I've been helpful

Thanks for your answer!
Although one last question. the site is a presentation for a company. It doesn't require the customer to sign in or buy.
It only has a contact through email form.
Do i still have to include the banner you told me about or not?
Hi Virginia,
Generally, the cookie banner has to be added in order to specify what kind of cookie the website is using, be that the technical type or the profilation type.
In this case, I suggest you use one of the many services available online that can scan your website and let you know exactly what cookie is running, if any.
From what you're saying, I might assume you don't need it, but it's better to be sure.
You'll still probably need to contact a lawyer in order to make sure your website is setup correctly to be GDPR compliant if you need to request informations from the user to fully fill the contact form.
Hope I've been helpful
