Activation of new key before previous key expires.

I purchased a new upgrade protection key, but my old upgrade protection key doesn't expire for 18 days. If I used the new key would the new key apply to a one year from 18 days from now or would the new key start from the day I enter it? Would i lose the 18 days if i entered the new key today?

The update protection is extended by 12 months, no days are lost. That's how it worked for me!

Your Update Protection is active until 18/10/2018. If you buy and activate the extension even before this date, the new expiration date will be 18/10/2019.
