Unable to edit pages system freezes

I copied a site that was built for compute view. Switched to responsive and started to edit the master pages for the different devices. When I went to edit a page the system I could not open any object and the system froze. Any idea of a fix otherwise I have to start all over again.

Derek, after switching to responsive, I recommend immediately saving the project and then ctrl+preview. Your project may still be updating as you commence editting which could be problematic. You should also limit changes between saves especially when making changes that affect all pages.
My experience is that the project will then become stable quite quickly.
