Can I use a singel MySQL database for me online shop. In other words can I use a single database for Customers, Prodcts, Orders, Analytics . .etc or do I need to create a separate database for each , ,

Yes - and no.
X5 only requires one database. It creates the tables that are needed. But most things ( products and prices ) is not stored in the database.
And - you have to have the X5-software and the project, to maintain products and prices.

so can you not upload the products as you could do in X-Cart based eshops?
No - products has to be uploaded via X5, AND they are not in a MySQL database. This is one of the reasons why X5 is not a tool with which you can create web-shops for clients.
But you could use another software for the shopping part ( example : OpenCart https://www.opencart.com/ ) and then you could use X5 to create the site and then integrate the other software via links and/or iframes.
