I think you will never be able to afford software like this.

But you could for a start look at : opencart  https://www.opencart.com/

Via iframes or links, you could integrate the e-commerce part in your X5 project.

X5 is not good at e-commerce, but it is good for designing really good ( but not excellent ) websites.

Still an search filter would help, this has become a very basic thing you encouter in almost every shop, also small shop's. It would be very nice if Incomedia would implement this, it has been asked many times and there are also many IDEA posts.

@ Incomedia please consider creating some basic filters, it would make the shop a lot more profesional.
