In the Expert section of the page properties/site map settings, there is a setting for Update Frequency. I am not really sure what this does - does it control how frequently the page will be refreshed on the live website? I currently add some META TAGS scripts to the HTML in oredre to ensure that certain pages are never cached, but always reloaded every time they are hit. However, does the setting the "Update Frequency" to 'Always' have the same effect, or is this something else entirely?

Hello Stephen,
It's for the benefit of the search engines only.
You can specify a 'weight' to each page to indicate to Google et al. how often you intend to update that particular page or add new content to it. That may then influence how often Google sends the searchbot along.
It doesn't have anything to do with page caching.
Kind regards,
Paul

Thank you Paul. Looks like I'll need to continue inserting my html meta tags then! No problem.
By the way, I think this support system is excellent, and is helping me get to grips with WebSiteX5 as a new web site authoring program. I had previously been using Serif Web Plus X8, which is no longer supported.
