I am importing a product file to the shopping cart. The file uses semi-colon (;) as the cell delimeter - verified by opening the csv file in text editor.
I am using the quotation mark (") in the product description where it specifies size in inches - for example (....1/4" / 6mm....)
Once I specify the import file, I get an error message asking to verify that " is a string delimeter and the ; is the cell separator. I press the OK button, which closes the error message, but then nothing else happens.
error msg attached
Any ideas appreciated, Thank you

Hello.Maybe the problem is in inches " in 1/4".

I will replace " with 'inch' and see what happens, but I sure would like to keep the " symbol if possible
Good luck to you.

Here is the file in notepad view.
@Adrian B. There are numerous threads about this issue. search my name or Tom G. and you should find them. Tom G created a fantastic Excel tool that checks Data and creates a CSV that WX5 will import. I am pretty sure if you ask him, he will share it?it not for me to say, but I helped him "test " it and it works fantastic especially if you want to bulk import items I imported 1100 at a time with the help of the tool - (imagine inputing them manually!!)

Got it, will send an email. I read the post - hopefully that will work. I've used lots of csv files created many ways over the years with all sorts of software - this is the first time I have trouble with a csv file.....
Thanks Tom G

I used Tom's file and it did the trick - still somesort of problem on my end as each line of the csv file has quotations marks around it, but I use notepad to take them out and the import works fine.
Use Tom's file - works great.
I think the main problem is that the process as described by X5 documentation does not say that there is in fact other required fields than the 4 they specify. The import line must be complete even with required zeros in some places.
Now back to other problems of the cart.....
