After the last update I cann't open a project. Bitdefender thinks the program contains malware. See the pictures. Anybody who has a sullution? Taking the files out of carantaine doesn't solve the problem.

Kind regards,

Eduard.

Hi Paul,

It is working, so that is nice. Only the fact that I have to lower my security level of my PC makes me not happy. Hopefully we can have an update in the future that will solve this problem. I also noted that for the first time  I get a warning that the php release on the server was too low. Luckely I could easily take a higher version of php on my server.

With kind regards,

Eduard.

Please be reassured that you haven't lowered the security level of your PC in any way by adding an exception for WebSite X5, Eduard.

WebSite X5 is benign software which does not harbour dangerous or malicious code.  It is Bitdefender which is at fault for flagging WebSite X5 as a false positive.  Hopefully Bitdefender will improve their algorithims in future to prevent this from happening.  The onus lies with Bitdefender, but you can help them by reporting your experience, here:

As regards the PHP issue...  PHP as a language is constantly evolving at an incredible pace.  New versions are released constantly.  WebSite X5 keeps up with these developments in PHP with changes and improvements to its own code, which means that over time WebSite X5 becomes incompatible with older versions of PHP.  So this situation is very normal.

It's good practice to use the newest version of PHP available to you on the server.  Please see this article for further details:

What are the minimum requirements for the server?
