I am using the Contact Form object to receive information from my customers. It works perfectly fine using authentificated SMTP using an email account provided by Strato. However, there are two improvements I would like to include.

First, the integrated PHPMailer sends an email to me and another to the customer and this takes quite some time (several seconds) in which the webpage seems to "hang".

Is there a way to show a message while the PHP code is running serverside? For example, showing a banner that says "Sending message..." until the process has finished.

Second, there is an option to redirect the user to a webpage once the process is completed. I use the same address to send the user to the contact page again and therefore all the fields in the form are cleared, to look as the message has been sent correctly.

Is there a simple way to show a simple message (e.g. "Email sent successfully") on the current page to show that the message has been sent? I could create a new page with the message and redirect my users to it, but could it be possible to show the message on the current page?
