I am not sure how you search,

so 2 tips;

• in step3 way below with special pages you can define a search page for the shop.
• if you create a link on anything you want (picture / text) you can use way below in the search link option search product, there you can select all categories.

The last one shows all categories.

As of now, this is not possible. This page will always hide categories if there are more than 5, but you can still increase the number by clicking on the button you mentioned. For the moment, there's no alternative to this
