Is your php version at your host side up to date? (V8 is best) please check.

Where can I find that information, is it in my program WebSite x5, or is it at one.com my web hotel.

I found it on one.com, they update automatically, pt. PHP version 7.4.

Can you set it manualy also? (you should) is v8 available?

select it, do a full upload, refresh website page when you visist (ctrlF5 in your browser) and test again.

But v7 should also work if you are working with v16? Maybe it's time for an update as well, anyway i am not sure if these help, you need to test and try for yourself, stick to the standard recaptcha from x5, is that one working?

Yes, you can set PHP to 8.0, but they recommend updating to 7.4, which is the most stable PHP version.
recaptcha from X5, does not work, no control word comes. I have then chosen to update my X5 program to
WebSite EVO, at the same time I changed the recaptcha from V3 to V2. and then it worked, so everything is okay now.
