I am using the Google maps object to put a map on my web page.

I've done this several times before with no problem. However this time I'm seeing the error message below-

Google Maps Platform rejected your request. Invalid request. Unexpected parameter 'authuser'.

That parameter appears at the end of any Google address in the address bar so I seriously doubt that it's a mistake at their end.

Using PHP 7.4

Any ideas?
