Email not working - have used the contact form successfully for 4 years

Email contact form is not working. Have the latest php version. Do not receive an acknowledgement to the email and nothing appears to happen. Changed from .html to .php for the contact us. Pro 2021 5.3 version.
Any help would be very useful

Are you using an email adres that is provided by your webhost?
A lot of webhosts are closing the option -due to safety- that you can use an email adres from another company.
If this is the same, then check your admin panel on your website (/admin behind your website url)
login is found in x5, then do the test with several scripts or email's to get a working situation, apply these in x5.
checnge script in x5 is step 5 -> parameters -> email TAB

Have checked admin on website and standard script working okay but cannot see how to change on X5. Where is step 5 parameters - cannot see this. "checnge script in x5 is step 5 -> parameters -> email TAB"

these are there when you use another host then x5, do you have another host or do you use x5 hosting?
