Pages (nr 4) button stopped working

after the latest update i cannot edit pages ...if i press "4 Pages" on the left nothing happens ..same when i press edit ....this happens on my laptop while everything is working fine on my desktop pc...i already uninstalled and installed the software a couple of times and i also tried to install an older version....any idea or help will be appreciated..

Theo, are you using 3rd party av, malware, firewall, VPN on you laptop? If so, can you temporarily uninstall or totally disable?
Perhaps you are using OneDrive to work on??

I am not using any 3rd party av, malware, or firewall ...i use many vpns because of my work but only connect when needed which means they are in disconnected state normaly...
If you go to your desktop and step 5, export project to create an iwzip, then copy that iwzip to your laptop and start WX5 then import (this will NOT overwrite your existing project). Does the imported project work successfully?

Just did that but still the same behavior...i also exported from the laptop and imported to desktop and everything works....

i mean everything works on desktop...laptop has same problem..
Theo, I suggest you mark this post as unsolved. From your description the problem is not resolved on the laptop.
Are you sure the laptop is fully updated? Click Start & restart, then check for updates and ensure there are none available, restart again and try WX5

i just finished a repair install for windows 10 ...still page editor not working...
There is no WX5 log to my knowledge, but I have used the windows logs in admin tools on the control panel. I clear all the logs, use WX5 and then take a look at errors.
Is this only one project? If you start a new project do you have the same issue?

Yes i have the same issue...strange but only pages editor is not working...everything else works fine...
Theo, I will continue to dwell on your issue and offer suggestions if I can (hopefully others will also offer advise). You say you did a repair install of Windows, was this a full clean install? A system restore to an earlier point or some other repair technique?

No it was not a clean install as i have many programs installed which will take forever to install again...
i read the case you refer long before i decided to write my problem and i tried most of the solutions i found in the help center....sadly i did not find a similar error...maybe it happened because windows and microsoft are causing a lot of problems lately due to security patches etc...as i am in the IT business i encountered a lot of problems lately with printers vpn connections etc....i believe only the software engineers can help by telling us the page editor dependancies so i can search in the right direction...

Theo, I have marked this post for Incomedia's attention as requested, however, because this problem occurs only on your laptop I suspect the only solution offered will be a full Windows clean install.
The problem may be some other software you require, so perhaps temporarily removing all startup programs through the task manager may fix the problem (I once had a hot-key overlay app when programming and it blocked functionality of a program I used), you could then re-enable each to identify the culprit?

I unintalled some programs and i also reinstalled wx5 and the problem dissapeared....
i will reinstall again and i will inform you which one caused the starnge behaviour...
