Zsuzsanna, many things can affect the time it takes for WX5 to complete a change in the project and one of the most challenging is the addition of a new page on the menu/s (especially if combined with the removal of a page).

Updating the menu will require changes to every single page on your site, effectively a full regeneration. If this is a largish project the time taken could be considerable.

However, given this time frame (45 minutes?) there is obviously some reason for concern. The first step I would take is the creation of an iwzip file (step 5, export project), it is recommeded that a new iwzip file is created after every major site revision / editing session (I add the date to the iwzip name). The second step would be to restart WX5 and import your newly created iwzip file (this will NOT overwrite the existing project) giving you a clean version of your project.

If there are still considerable delays when undertaking trivial updates, please advise and we can consider other causes, there are no known delay issues caused by the recent WX5 update to my knowledge.
