When do I use a content slide and when the product catalogue? Because with the content slide you can also add a product in the shopping cart. In my template (softspace) the object content slide and the object product catalogue have been used on the same page. I already moved the product catalogue item directly under the content slide (because it was completely at the bottem, I think it's confusing). Is there a good reason, because the templates al well thought out.

Hello. You can use objects for whatever you want (as long as they fit the functionality). I use the "product catalog" object to create pages with product categories. The "content slide" object, it seems to me, is something like a showcase with products.
"because the templates al well thought out." - it is not always so. Sometimes objects are added to templates just for beauty or to show that you can use these objects with this template.
You can work with each object to better understand what it can do. And then decide which object to use in a given situation.
