How to add content on the empty sides of webpage

My web header is getting crowded and I would like to place a Youtube logo link under the header on the empty areas on the sides of the page.
Example, where the red arrows point to. Thank you.

The space is not available in every screen width, so it is better not to plan with this space. Place content better in the normal area.
