I am currently building an ecommerce site.
I need to collect sales tax for orders shipped within my state, California. I do not need to collect sales tax for other states. How can I configure the ecommerce platform to charge sales tax only to orders shipped to California?

Hello. At the moment, this option is available only for countries.
But you can change the list of countries to the list of states.
...x Joan K, ... (It > En) ... in theory(!), ... you could add a new country "California" (US-CA) in the list of countries...
... apply two types of shipment
1) > regular >> $100
2) > with California tax > $100 + $30 >> $130
... or alternatively apply two types of bank payment:
1) > regular >> $10
2) > with California tax > $10 + $30 >> $40
...
... conditioning with EXTRA code, if the country "California" is selected in #step2 you can make sure that only option 2) is seen and selected...
