I have a page in my website for news its basically a single page of news stories with links to pictures and documents.

The page has got too long and I need to archive early stories to a new page called "archive", when I create a blank page and copy or cut the stories from the "news" page and paste them into the newly created "archive" page none of the links are working.

How do I achive my aim ? is it possible to create a duplicate of the news page with working links then call it "arichive" and delete the recent stories that will remain on the "news" page then I can turn to the "news" page and delete the old  stories now in "archive"

it is essential that all the links will work when the stories are archived

You would have to select the text object, then right-click and select "Copy" or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C. Now insert the text object into the grid on another page using “Insert” or the key combination Ctrl+V.

I am selecting the whole text I want to archive by highlighting it - the highlighted text contains a number of links to documents or pictures.  I then copy and paste the text but none of the links to documents or pictures are preserved

Hello Philip,
if you copy the text from within the object, links will not be preserved, I would suggest instead following Daniel's tip, selecting the whole object and copying it, then pasting it onto another page.

Additionally, you could copy/paste the entire page, renaming the copy as Archive or something similar, and then going on to modify the initial page removing the old news.
