Does “synology server” mean a NAS server?

Maybe there are NAS experts here who can say whether something like this is possible and, if so, what you have to do to make it work.

Why isn't web hosting simply used?

Do you mean that with an old version it works for you ?
if yes, with which version does it work for you ?
And if yes, are you using the same settings for sending ?

Sorry, a little bit nervous after one week work on it....

Yes it's a NAS Synology server (DS118).

Yes it worked likely before a web attack so I had to re install it at all.

The version worked was a 2020.3.8, so I bought a new licence and now it's the last. Of course, Synology server had upgraded too.

Now its not the same paramters to send form by mail, so I have to adapt it, but it doesn't work. And the file I can download (.php), installed on the server doesn't work too.

Thats why I use an ISP settings to send mail, but as it can work with other softwares, with WebsiteX5, not.

I activated the hosting this night, so now I have to look and understand how it works. And of course have to take time to learn it.

But for sure, I prefere have my hosting at home, I have project to dev more on this synology... The space disk that I can have have nothing to compare a web hosting can propose me....

And for the last, it seems that a member maybe have find a solution but in this helpcenter we can't talk directly with other members (or I don't find how to).

Can you confirm me that if you put on it, NOW, the website made with 2020.3.8, does the email sending work ?
If yes, it MUST work with 2024 as well.
Also if yes, Is the 2024 project a new project or did you import the project from 2020.3.8 ?

Too late, I uninstall the old version.

And now, I re install the older website with the new X5, but doesn't work....
