Improvements to the shipping system – the current system falls short

I love the X5 website, but the shipping system is terrible. There should be a feature to integrate with a shipping company or at least a way to automatically calculate shipping costs. In some countries (including mine), shipping is calculated based on distance and weight, so having a fixed shipping price can lead to financial loss.
There have been several user requests over time asking for improvements to the shipping system on the X5 website.

Just adding a detail/information: We’ve been requesting a ZIP code calculator system for years. I’ve seen several posts dating back to 2015 asking for these features to be added.

We have to do all our customer orders manually with Website X5 Pro, to work out shipping costs, because the shipping companys we use, use variable factors in calculating costs: weight, size, distance, and if the location is in a difficult to reach area.
Our online health shop customer orders are very variable as well, so we cannot have a one-size-fits-all shipping cost.
It would be great however, if at least we could manually add our own country-specific locations (city/towns) in the shipping section - ability to charge different shipping costs based on distance/location within a country. Have a drop-down list that allows us to include our own cities/towns and set different shipping costs.
We don't ship our health products internationally, only locally in South Africa. But if we could manually add shipping costs for different locations within the country itself, it would certainly be a step in the right direction.
I could at least then use Website X5's shipping functions, "weight of whole order" and hopefully "distance/city or town location", to better estimate shipping and then go automated.

Yes, I did take a look, but none of them would "serve" me since the shipping cost is calculated based on the distance by city/state. Incomedia should include these shipping features in future updates — it would really help many people who use X5. I’ve seen that many users from different countries have also requested this functionality, and some even ended up migrating to other e-commerce platforms precisely because there isn’t a better shipping system. So I’m leaving my suggestion here. I’ve always liked X5 and I’m not planning to leave it, but I must admit that this shipping option left me a bit disappointed, especially considering that users have been asking for these features for over 10 years.

But nothing is more available.
E-Commerce part is absolutely dead ... the structure is not compatible with actual Website construction and evoluation are not possible.....
Concept issue, not solved yet.

I have been suggesting this for years..... years
Ability to have an API to connect to Fedex/UPS for live shipping rates - either simple (based on weight only) or with dimension. It would require the X5 cart to have dimensional date for items as well - and better import/export control.
CS-Cart does it perfectly - If you want to see it try firesleeveusa.com.
International shipping - worldwide - live shippping rate. It works great. But CS-cart is not as good as X5 for page design and control.
But put CS-Cart shipping features into X5 - now you have an almost perfect web authoring product.
