Contact Form Problem-Emails received as unverified  en

Hello x5 supporters

When people fill out my contact form their emails come in taged as UNVERIFIED. Many times the emails go to my junk folder, and some never get to my inbox at all. I use Microsoft Office 365.

Every time I bring this up at my server level support they keep saying everything is good for DMARC, DKIM  etc. etc. Then they say it is probably my contact form is causing the issue.

Could the problem be that the spam filtering is set too high, and if so where and how do I change it?

I have been fighting this issue for over a year with no resolve. My contact form worked fine for over 12 years. Did Microsoft change something? I use Office 365.

I have the contact form send the person sending the email that says Thank you for contacting us and we will be in touch soon. The sender receives the thank you, but many times we don't even get their email.

I'm hoping someone can help.

Hello Giulio,

I am pretty sure that this issue is caused by Microsoft and their mailer.foot-in-mouth
The best should be to have a Linux hosted machine.

Do you have another hosted machine on Linux ?
If yes, I will export your project into a subfolder of this linux hosted machine.

And you test the mail sending. Also check that the sender email into your project used an email addressfrom the domain name like info @ mydomain.com and not like xxxx @ gmail or hotmail...

If the email is working fine, you will need to switch your hosted solution to Linux

Just some ideas.
hope this helps

Axel

Everyone is telling me it is the contact form I am using in X5 is the problem. it is showing emails sent from the contact form are UNVERIFIED. If they send an email directly to my email address, we get no Unverified warning in the email.

Whatever the code is for the form. it is showing as spoofing when it transfers to my email address.

This is so frustrating, what can be checked in the email settings to end this nightmare?

It's likely less to do with WebSite X5 and its contact form than with the email provider's settings, which determine whether emails end up in the inbox or the spam folder.

In tests with the contact form several days ago, the majority of emails ended up in the inbox, and a smaller number ended up in the spam folder.

I live in Germany and check my Freenet mailbox to see if there's any mail in the spam folder. Most of the time it's spam, but sometimes emails from reputable companies end up there, too.
