Facebook Button Problems

I have tried to set up the facebook button on my website by following these instructions. Like Box -> http://www.facebook.com/{pages/thesite/133343434455420} all in { } Like Button -> {http://www.mywebsite.co.uk} see http://answers.websitex5.com/post/3173 I get this error message. "Could not retrieve the specified page. Please verify correct href was passed in." My exact entry is: http://www.facebook.com/{www.paid2speak.com} I have had no success in creating the link. Please advise me.
I have website x5 Evolution 9 with all updates.

Is the facebook button working? You could insert the website url?
If you still encounter any issues try to use the "FB Like button generator" http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/
And then you can paste the code in the page with the HTML and Widget Plugin.
