I have to use the product key everytime I open the software - this cant be right? There are far less templates than there used to be - and you used to be ale to adjust the colours, now you cant! I am very disappointed and unhappy with this! It is useless.

Hello Jill,
Please try to check if under C:/Users/ Admin User /AppData/Local/ there's a folder called Incomedia. If it's present please copy this folder under C:/Users/ Your Windows Username /AppData/Local/ and then start the program again to see if it still asks you for the key.
Can you please explain me what do you mean that there are fare less templates?
In the program are 1500 templates included and there's still the option to change color of you select a template and you click on the color palette to adjust the hue.
Please keep me updated.

Hello Claudio,
I have tried what you suggest, no luck. I tried suggestions from other 'activation issue' posts - no luck.
I think issue arises because I use my PC from a user account that can (with a password) do certain admin functions, but it is not the main admin user. This is for security. All my other software copes with this. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling from main admin user account; I can activate and open X5 from my admin user, but the minute I switch back to my other (and usual) user it does not work! It also then conflicts with the admin user X5 which then needs reactivating.
As I say this does not happen with any other software I use.
I sorted the other queries - the new config of templates by business category made it appear as if there are a lot less - as I am not interested in business catagories, its colour and effect I need. So I've gone for a custom... and I also eventually found the way to change colours (hue was not giving me the colours I wanted).
However, I am still tearing my hair out over not being able to use the software from my user account!
Please advise!
Jill

Good morning
I have now been through and changed all account permissions that I can see. It still will not open without needing activation in my day to day user account. fyi I originally idownloaded and installed while in my user account, using my internal password to allow software to 'make changes to the hard drive....etc'. And I never had a problem with evo 9!
I have unistalled and reinstalled again.

OK, here's what I thought next: Try downloading and installing evo 9 again - see if that works? Which it did, in fact didn't even ask for any activation. So next I completely unistalled 10 again and deleted the download and folders. Then re downloaded 10 and installed. All this from my day to day user account, but using my admin password.
Guess what? It appears to be opening up correctly and I've even tried a reboot to check settings held up - they did. So far so good. Interestingly though I wasn't asked to do the Evo 10 update as before - maybe there is a roblem with that!
Sorted for the moment. Just several hours wasted.
Thank you
