Hello Jenny!
It is not responsive, but you have the chance to create a web site for smartphones and tablets if you wish. What version of the program do you have?

Greetings to all, the kind of site Jenny may be asking about is also called fluid.  Please see my post about responsive design:

http://answers.websitex5.com/post/83746

And here's an example of a fluid design website: (It's ok, a friendly review on X5)

http://www.oxgadgets.com/2013/11/review-incomedia-websitex5-evolution-10.html

When you go to a website using IE, click on the "Restore Down" middle bottom in top right corner and then go to the bottom right "lined triangle" click and drag to see if the site is a fluid design.  If it is, right click, view source and take a look at the code.

meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width" (or)

meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1"

As you can see there is no fixed width.

Learning html5, css and javascript is last on my list.  Maybe someone can experiment and see what happens. (Also, some of the other programs require insertng a lot code, just to do anything past the basics! And no or limited html5.)

There's no waving a magic wand or genie here from what I've read. There is certainly work involved.  And there's no program (yet) to do this because they're all a fixed width like X5.

If you're interested take a look at "bootstrap".  When a program does have this feature you'll will still have to decide where the break points are when folding or shinking the window down and be checked on all the different size devices.  For website x5 to have this kind of program it would take a complete rewrite of the core code over the current windows in a window/table/frame type set up. We can ask though!

As for myself, I'm happy with the fact that X5 Pro (and Evo 10?) because they fit to an iphone or tablet screen and you can zoom in/out, zoom to fit, scroll/slide in four directions and click/pick on "stuff".  (Not sure, but it appears any website done in HTML5 is functional with a smart phone or tablet.)  It may not be exactly a responsive or fluid site, but it does function on all devices.

Website X5 Evo 10 and Pro have a lot of features available, more than most.  And any of the other programs that changed to HTML5 have had plenty of "bugs" and fixes.  So lets be patient for going to html5 and dropping flash was a huge leap forward.

Kind regards.  Donald
