Hi,
we're using Website X5, the latest version but are considering upgrading to WebSite X5 Professional 10.
One of the things we are looking for is being able to work on the website from different locations. Can you tell us if this is possible in this version? We live 200km apart and both need to maintain the website. We've been doing this through an online helpdesk tool with remote acces, but that is not very conventient.
Kind regards,
Marian

Hello Marian,
webSite X5 professional 10 gives you the chance to add the ''Dynamic Content'' object to your project, here's how it works: http://www.websitex5.com/en/highlights-professional-10.html#contenuti_dinamici
This could be useful for you I guess. It gives you the chance to add content and change the text/images on your website online, without having to use the program.
You can not change the website structure, but you can change what is in it if you have added this particular object.
I hope this helps, but please feel free to write back if you need more help.
Thanks,
Samantha
Beste Marian,
Ik gebruik WebSite X5 Pro 10 ook op twee lokaties.
Daarvoor gebruik ik Dropbox.

Hi Samantha - I'll look into this - thanks!
Kees, kun je dat wat verder uitleggen? Je link gaat naar een Duits gesprek en daar ben ik voor technische dingen niet sterk genoeg in.
Groeten / Cheers,
Marian

Hi Samantha,
I read the link you sent. Can you specify how much control the client could have? Would they have full control over the pages? Are they able to create pages? Where do their rights end or how far can I give them access?
Cheers,
Marian
Dear Marian,
Why don't you try the demo version of WebSite X5 porfessional 10? You can download it from here http://www.websitex5.com/en/demo-professional-10.html you will then be able to see how it works.
The client can change whatever you have added in the ''Dynamic Content'' object if you have enabled him to do so. They can not change the website structure, therefore they can not add pages. They can only change what has been built by you. Its entirely up to you to decide what they can change.
