How can a make sure that Google finds my site on certain keywords.

there is no guarantee for google with any platform/program, you just have follow the steps that google recomand.
you can add your images to your sitemap, in that case google will show your images.

I have read some on the internet that I need to put metadata in the HTML file for google to find your site.
How can I do that?
With website X5 Evolution 9 you automatically have a sitemap ain't it???

yes it does. make sure your project file has the check mark next to sitemap, see attachment.
after submitting your url to google, google will give you a code to confirm that you are the owner of the url, you need to add that to the head section of your website, then after you hit the confirm button in google website, google will automaticly takes you to sitmap page, you need to give the address of your sitemap to google.
address would be http://www.your domain.com/sitemap.xml
