Trying to install update but continue to get errror 406.
I did close all open programs.

Try downloading from your profile full version and install that one.
Goto top right button profile, choose download, then select your version, after download then install that should always work. Take care that you closed X5 when installing.

Which version should I have with the update?
I'm showing 10.16.50
In the download of your profile thre is only 1 version, this is always the last version, for today that is: 10.1.8.52

Yes, please follow Andre's advice: download the latest version of the program from the ''download'' section here on answers then please make sure you have deleted your previous version from your computer before you start this one.
In order to install correctly, please add your licence key and register with the same email address you used the first time.

What will happen to the work I've done to date if I delete the current program?

Don't worry about that, you have your projects on your computer. You can find them by looking in the start page of the program - ''preferences'' section - project folder. This is their file location.
