No automatic save of project

while teaching a course on how to create website using X5 on one of the students PC the project wasn't saved automatic and there was no question if he wants to save or discard his edits.
I've checke in the default projects folder on his PC and found nothing. My question is: how could this happen. X5 in its default installation does have automatic save (at preview) set. All other students did have there project in place.

Maybe the student clicked for help and excedently removed the autosave? (if you want to click it away again its easy to unset the option), I can Imagine that this has happened....
(the option is close to the help button on top)
I realy can't Imagine that the same software is all the same except for one pc.
