I am getting a pink error box saying that there is a problem with the comment insertion, why is this happening it has never happened before that i know of.

Did you change any settings on comments section like the folder name where to store the comments or you changed the permissions of the folder on the hosting server?
Check if the permissions of the folder online where to store the comments are set to 777 and then try again.
