After CSV-Import the suboptions of the products are gone  de

We tested this:

We exported the cart products to a csv-file. Went well.

We imported this file without any changes back to WSX5. Went well.

*But*: All the suboptions of the products disappeared.

Then we created a _new_ csv-file with only _one_ new product and imported it into WSX5. This went well, the suboptions of the old products are still here and the new product was imported. OK.

Conclusion: *Never* import an existing product again. You will loose the suboptions. Only import a new product. You cannot edit products outside of WSX5 and import it back. This is not stated clear in 'Help'.

Our question: Is this ok by design, did we do something wrong or is it a bug?

Kind regards Peter

Hello Peter,

At the moment the suboptions cannot be imported in the program with a csv file but only added directly in the program.

The developers are informed about it and are working on it.

Many thanks!

Hi, we *did not* want to import suboptions, we know that. It is clearly stated in 'help'. We read helpfiles :-)))).

->The old products were affected by the import.

We exported the (already existing) cart products to a csv-file. Went well.

We imported this file without any changes back to WSX5. No new product entered. Went well.

*But*: All the suboptions of the *already existing products* disappeared.

Means: you can not import products, that already exist in the project.

I hope this is more clearly now.

kr Peter

Hello Peter,

The exported csv file does not contains the suboptions and once you import a file containing products already in the ecommerce thisd updated them without the suboptions because not present. It is better to import only csv files with new products otherwise the existings will be overwritten.

Many thanks!

Thank you,

we thought that is treated that way. I put it into suggestion for new version. Or update?

I close the thread.
