Hello.
I am trying to add a widget code to a website page but, although the widget appears, I get no response from the "submit" button.
I am simply placing the following code in an HTML cell...nothing else:
<script type="text/javascript" id="WolframAlphaScript61f172c6d8626b5d77e759cd56affe38" src="//www.wolframalpha.com/widget/widget.jsp?id=61f172c6d8626b5d77e759cd56affe38&theme=green"></script>
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Nigel

Hello Nigel,
Are you testing it in the preview or after you uploaded it?
It could be the custom widget html code works only once uploaded online.
Many thanks!

Both.
Here's the test link:

Hello Nigel,
There seems to be a problem directly with the code of the plugin which is getting blocked. It is not running correctly.
You need to try with another plugin to see if another works.
Many thanks!

Hi Claudio...
Yes...I've tried six of them.
It's a shame as some of these widgets are really good.

These people at Wolfram-Alpha are so intellectual that they simply cannot answer my queries. Whatever question I ask about the widgets is met with a totally wayout answer that is unhelpful.
They are up their xxxxx! If you know what I mean
I give up.

Claudio...
I have ACTUALLY found a website where the Wolfram/Alpha widget is working!!!
http://www.pamments.co.uk/calculator.htm
Why can't I make them work on WebsiteX5?
If you look at the page source, you will see that the site is written in:
"<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">"
This appears to be the code:
<script type="text/javascript" id="WolframAlphaScriptb132ecc1609bfcf302615847c1caa69a" src="http://www.wolframalpha.com/widget/widget.jsp?id=b132ecc1609bfcf302615847c1caa69a"></script>
Thanks,
Nigel
Hello Nigel,
The page uses the old HTML 4 standard.
It seems the widget is not loading correctly on the project made with WebSite because a function of it does not work correctly.
It gives an error and this depends on the code used in it.
Many thanks!

Okidoke.
I've finally got the Wolfram tech to understand what I'm talking about so I will leave this post open and tecord the results as and when.
In the meantime Wolfram/Alpha is a really brilliant database of facts and many Website5 users may well find it useful ONCE we've got the HTML issue sorted...lol

Nigel, you must use jQuery.
Add in header section <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5.1/jquery.min.js"></script> (for example).

BRILLIANT!!!
Thanks Serg....works like a treat!
I'll let Wolfram know.
They are really good widgets and you can make your own from their database.
