Hi.
Just a quick query.
When I get a cusomer emailing me from my website through the the contact form. The return email comes up with my email address. The customers email is inside the form, so When I hit reply, The to field has my email address in and I have to delete it and paste in the customers email address. Is this something I have done wrong when I set the form up? What do I need to do? I have attached a screenshot to make it easier to understand my query.
Regards.

Terry, attach a picture of your send tab from your form object, you did not set it correctly!

Hi.

make the email form field mandatory, then in the setting tab place a checkmark on "sender email address.

Hi. How can I get my email to send an automatic response to my customers when they contact me? I have attached a screenshot of the settings for you.
Regards.
Hello Terry,
you need to activate the box "send an email confirmation to the user" and then enter the automatic message you want to send.
Many thanks!

Hi.
I am getting lots of spam through my email. How can I stop the spam?
Regards.
Hi Terry,
If you are just using the contact form for email, you need to activate the "Capcha" feature so that everyone who sends you an email has to enter the characters shown.
However, if you have your actual email address listed on the site then anyone can see it and put it onto a database which can then be used to send you spam - and there is nothing much you can do about that.
If you already have the capcha enabled and no email address listed, it is possible that someone that has used the web contact form has had their computer compromised and your email address has been stolen and used to send you spam. Again, there is little you can do about this but look at the features that your web hosting company provides for detecting spam and putting it in a spam folder.
