Landing page - can't disable

I switched off landing page in Evo11 and it still pops up. Tried publishing the whole page again to ftp but nothing. Of course cleared cache and even checked on other devices.

An there's also one more problem. When I make the page background transparent I can't change the background to dark mode in the typing module.

I tryed background in template and on a page, set to transparent, and still could set dark background in text object. Can you give more information where you changed what setting?
For your landing page, try removing all files on your webhosting, then do again a full upload and see if this has helped.

You need to rename the home page in the properties to index (filename)

At the moment your home page has as name
kursy-zagraniczne-angielski-anglii-malta-anglia-nauczycieli-erasmus.html
And since it is not called index.html it uses the old welcome page since this is the only file called index.html

OK. So first I change the background of the main page to transparent. Then obviously every other page on the site is transparent too. So in order to make the text comprehensible it needs to be on a contrasting background since the transparent is no good here. So it the text module properties there is an icon that is supposed to change the background of the text field to dark but it doesn't happen. It would solve my problem/idea because I could have say white font over dark bacground and it would be great. In the preview everything's ok. After applying the setting the text box simply disappears completely leaving a gap over the transparent background.

I think there is some confusion, the button to make the background dark in X5 is there only to show the text better in side x5 only, if you use white letters you still can see what you typed using this button. No more, it is not a setting that uploads a dark background to your website.
If you want to change the background of the font only in a text object use the button next to font text colour, -> text font background colour. (inside the text object)
If you want the background of the page object to be dark, set this in step3 select object (not double click) then use button on top cellstyle.
The background of the complete page is set in step 2 select the page - again not double click- then goto properties button then graphics TAB.
To set background of all pages this is set in the template section (step 1) template style -> template structure.
Hope this helps I set all background option in bold for you.
