How to work on and upload my exported and edited files

Just to be sure I got it right:
If I use the Export function, which was made to edit the project-files by hand (to add whatever the application doesn't provide) I'm so to say kicked out of WebsiteX5? I can no more edit the files within the program, and if I want to upload my resultinf files, I'll have to use an external FTP-Program like Filezilla to get my site onto the web. Am I right (this time) ?

The export to disk is generally meant in case you want to use a different ftp client to upload it. The exported HTML files cannot be imported back in the program so every change you make on these files, needs to be done again after every new export and it's why we suggest to add the code directly in the program if possible, in the HTML code object so you can still work on the project without loosing all your custom HTML code.
