I have a project created in the demo standard version which I cannnot access from my purchased professional version.  Is there any way to import the file into my new pro version since the export is disabled in the standard?

Hello Harry,

You cannot export from the demo version as you have already discovered; however, your project should automatically be available to you in the list of projects within Professional 11...  please see this FAQ:

Have you installed the Professional version on the same computer as the Demo version?

Did you allow WebSite X5 to install to the default directory in both cases?

Kind regards,

Paul

Paul-

Yes, both versions installed on the same PC to the default directories.  Sorry to report the demo project does NOT appear in the list in professional.  I'm guessing I'm out of luck and will have to start from scratch.

Did you use the version 11 Demo, or an earlier version (10 or 9), Harry?

I will ask Claudio from Incomedia for assistance on your behalf.  There is no reason why your project shouldn't be available for you to use.

Please continue to monitor this thread for a response from Incomedia in due course.

Many thanks!

Hello Harry,

Did you install as demo the Evolution version?

If yes open the preferences in the demo to see in which folder the projects are stored and open this folder and copy from there the folder with the name of the project on your desktop.

Once done open the preferences of Professional 11 to see where the projects of professional 11 are stored and move the previous folder inside this folder so the next time you start the program you will find the project.

Many thanks!
