RGB value shifts in uploaded site  en

All the image files that I use in my template style have a uniform gray background with RGBH value of 31/31/31.

When I upload the site and view it in my browser, I see distinct areas with different gray values. One area is 31/31/31, and the other is 36/36/36. It's quite noticeable.

The attached file is a composite screen capture of the WebSite X5 preview (on the left), showing the single gray background, and how the site appears on line (on the right), with two different gray values.

I really want what I see in Preview, not what I see on line. Is this some kind of transparency issue? Any solution?

Typo in the first paragraph: It should read RGB, not RGBH.

Hello Jim,

Have you made any changes to your project since posting?

Your site looks different when I view it in my own browsers.  The colours are consistent and apparently flawless, and a title is displayed in the Showbox.  Please see the screenshot attached to illustrate.

I get identical results in Google Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.

It's possible that the anomaly you experienced was a result of temporary browser cache corruption.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hi Jim.

That is indeed weird, considering I can't even see the issue on your website.

Could you please try asking somebody else to check on their computer, or try with a different browser?

Let me know the results.

PS: (I can see from your screenshot the problem, it's just that on your website I don't see that)

And it gets weirder still. I have looked at the site on my desktop computer (Win7) and my laptop (Win8). On both, the site shows two shades of gray in Firefox and Chrome, but not in Internet Explorer.

Since then I have looked at the site on three other computers (all Windows), including the public library, where I looked at both Chrome and IE. The site looked fine on all three.

The only thing the desktop computer and the laptop have in common is the internet provider, but I don't see how that could cause the problem.

At any rate, since the site appears to be fine out in the "real world," I'll assume that the problem is only here at home--unless you have another suggestion.
