I am trying to upload my website to Internet but it's taking far too long. I am trying to remove hundreds of images that are in the gallery folder in the public html folder. I have managed to delete them from this folder but when I go to upload the website onto Internet, the images are still there and taking forever to upload. I have also tried deleting the images from the documents folder on the computer but everytime I do this they keep coming back. How can I get rid of these files permanently.

The website is; www.sspeterandpauljns.ie

I assume you don't have the pictures is you project anymore? If so then export your project in step 5. Import it in x5 and then try to upload that project.

Also give x5 some time to find out what files are online and wich not, after a few changes the upload should adjust with the option to upload only changes. This should save time, but x5 needs to upload all first and then check up on them. (if they are in your project that is)

Hope this helps You !

I have deleted all files from the gallery. I have exported and imported again and the deleted files are still reappearing on the upload list. Any other suggestions?

Paul M.
Hello Micha / Andre, Two additional steps which I have found are sometimes necessary to completely purge the project of redundant files: 1.  Delete the contents of the 'Preview' and 'Upload' folders located in the Windows user 'Documents' folder under Incomedia/WebSite X5, etc.  (delete contents only, leaving folders intact) 2.  Hold down the 'CTRL' key whilst entering the 'Preview' mode in WebSite X5.  Allow sufficient time for the preview to build to completion as indicated by the progress bar in the bottom right of the screen Then export and re-import the project as Andre suggests. Hope this might be of some use. Kind regards, Paul

I'm not sure if all are usefull for V9 but try, hopefully they help, I expect it will .... Let me know how it works out.
